Last summer, my family and I travelled to Italy. Something about this fascinating country draws you to it’s cuisine. I have never come across a person that doesn’t like Italian food, have you? It goes without saying, everything from the vegetables on their pizzas, to the seafood in the pasta, it is pretty much hard not to crave it. Italian food pretty much comes down to this; good sauce, good oil, and lots and lots of good cheese!
Tomato Mozzarella
Ingredients
- 6 large tomatoes, sliced
- 6 Mozzarella balls, sliced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 TB oregano
- 1/2 tp salt
- 1 bunch fresh basil leaves
Directions
- Step 1 Placed sliced mozzarella balls on sliced tomatoes
- Step 2 Drizzle olive oil and balsamic mix
- Step 3 Sprinkle oregano and salt
- Step 4 Garnish with fresh basil leaves
